I worked with L.W. at the Gazette in the 1990s and was quite fond of him. He had an active interest in the world around him, a sense of elan about life, and a keen memory for detail. Invariably, when he was telling one of his many stories about the people he'd met and the places he'd been, he would say that someone was "a real nice guy." The same goes for him. I'm glad I knew you, L'Dub.

I worked with L.W. at The Gazette for many years and he always had a good word for me and the photo I asked for, always without complaint. Thanks, L’Dub.

I remember L.W. and his wonderful photography. He was a confident and accomplished photographer. I recall his photos of my friends and me appeared in the Gazette on more than one occasion. One time I heard from a service man in Korea who had seen a Gazette photo L.W. took of me at Noelridge park. A good man gone.

Rest in peace, Loraine... I remember you fondly from decades ago while I was at Coe and you photographed me for a feature you published. I'll always remember you as a kind and caring man, as well as a talented photographer. My condolences go out to all those who also mourn your passing.
