Pat, Seth and Shannon, please accept our sympathy for your loss of your husband and father, David. Our daughter, Christina, was home this week-end from Minneapolis and I can't help but think about the academic teams she and Seth were part of together at Washington High School and my first meeting you, Pat, at Franklin Middle School as we volunteered for many projects there and at Washington High School. May God bless you all, and your grandchildren. David had a rich and full life and was meaningful to all he met. What a wonderful memory.

Pat, Mary and Family members. We were saddened at the news of Davids' passing. I had the enjoyment of playing football with David at Luther from 1960-64. David and I played on the defensive line together on our undefeated 63 team. He was the anchor on the right side and his humor and good naturedness kept us focused and loose. He made practice and games fun. You never knew what to expect from David and I can not ever remember seeing David without a smile on his face. David was a good friend. Importantly for us was my first teaching and coaching job after graduation. I taught and coached football at Harmony from 1964-66. While teaching there with his mother Connie she was instrumental in playing cupid and getting another teacher and I together. 53 1/2 yrs later we are still happily married and owe it to her and Ed. The Millers have played a very important role in our life and we will be forever grateful. We will keep you in our prayers.

Dear Pat, Shannon, Seth and family members was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Was so truly blessed to have know this fine gentleman. Lee and I have so many great memories of your husband an father. He will be missed greatly.

I've known David since grade school times. Living in the Granger, Bristol Center area and then 9th grade at HHS. Prayers to the family. David did fight hard, Thanks to the family for keeping the class of 60 updated on his fight for life. I know he is telling jokes and making others laugh in heaven, always with a smile on his face and maybe a smart joke for all.

I first met David back in 1979 when I started as a General Agent with Life Investors. We both had teaching/coaching backgrounds so we hit it off. Over the years with the company David became not only a mentor, but a friend as well. E.G. was one of the "cast of characters" at LI. He made the agents feel special when they would come to the home office. He made things fun and helped create an environment that people wanted to be a part of. Whatever it took to motivate those around him, David would do. He wasn't afraid to get out of his comfort zone to dress up in drag, participate in skits, or do other things if it meant stimulating others to be better. Oh the stories we can all tell. I know his quality of life was not the best the last few years, but being the competitor and fighter he was he beat the odds. My wife Lorraine and I will be out of town so we will not be able to attend David's services. Our condolences go out to Pat, Seth and Shannon.

Pat, Shannon and Seth, I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I cannot imagine the loss you are feeling. David was a rare and special soul; one that left a positive impact on those of us fortunate enough to know him. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Dear Pat, Shannon, Seth and Family: God's Team needed a defensive tackle with the passion, energy, and leadership that David E. G. possessed. He was the best husband, father, "Pa", brother, uncle, friend, mentor, and Coach anyone could ever hope to be around. He will be missed but, but more importantly he will be remembered because he gave so much unconditionally and expected nothing in retuirn. The stories, the memories, and the experiences will be shared for years as he was truly one of a kind. In fact, the stories will become legendary with much laughter. Can you imagine the meeting that has already occurred with Edward C., Constance, Edsel, Coach John B, and President Farwell. Love to all of you. Upward and Onward!

Dear Pat, Shannon , Seth & families: How shocked I am to see the notice for David...just can't believe 'Big Dave' went on to a better place...after all his struggles. My prayers are with you all. Pat, I received you lovely Thank You note yesterday. I'm so glad I sent the gift early for a change. I am sending a memorial to Luther. God bless!

Dave Miller was the most optimistic person I have met. He always inspired me. I am sorry for the family loss but happy Dave is in a better place now. He deserves all of God's blessings. Seth, Shannon and Pat my thoughts are with you. Onward and upward he always said!!

Dear Pat, Shannon, and Seth, Although it has been many years, I have such fond memories of Miller hospitality growing up. Mr. Miller (as I remember him) was larger than life, warm, and friendly. Sending you much love as you grieve this sad loss.

Pat, Shannon, Seth and family, I will greatly miss David who generously offered me friendship and guidance when asked for. So many fond memories with your whole family. May God grant you peace. Geri
