Dear Julie, I am so sorry to hear about Ken’s death. I was a former student of Ken’s at Kennedy. He was later in an exercise class that we both attended. I always admired Ken. He was such wonderful person and a real gentleman. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Julie and Family, Carolyn and I offer our sincere condolences to you and your family. We have many good memories of Ken. We both enjoyed many great years in education with Ken and remember what a terrific job he did as president of CREA. Hal especially enjoyed his time playing golf with Ken for many many great years. Ken was always a joy to be around and he had fun playing golf with all his buddies. He always was a positive influence on all of us. I will especially remember what a terrific putter he was on the greens. We will miss Ken very much.

Dear Julie, Paul and I would like to extend our condolences to you and family! Both of you have contributed many years to education in the Cedar Rapids schools. We remember Ken as a fine educator and also a wonderful friend and golfing buddy!

Dear Julie, I was so sad to learn of Ken’s passing. He made such a difference in the lives of so many; including mine. I will never forget his kind, caring nature. My condolences to you and your family.

Julie and family, It was my pleasure to share my career with Ken. A fine man and a good educator. He did a great deal for educators in his many roles. I celebrate his life as he made a positive difference with his many contributions. God's blessing on you all. William C. Jacobson friend and fellow educator.

Mrs.Freeman, I am saddened by Mr. Freeman’s passing. I was blessed to have him as a teacher at Kennedy. He knew how to engage us and make the classes fun. Of course having you as my fifth grade teacher at Adams was another blessing. The two of you really cared for your students. May the Lord comfort you in this time of sorrow. Rest In Peace Mr. Freeman. You truly made a difference.

Ken was a wonderful man who was also an excellent teacher and friend. I never taught with Ken, but knew him through the CREA and our working together on a North Central Evaluation at Lincoln High School in Des Moines years ago. Those experiences were always a great way to see other schools and meet some great people. Our whole NCA group had a blast together. Ken and I spent lots of time along with the others for all the long meetings and dinners together. Ken always had a smile and a kind word for all. He had a great sense of humor and so much respect for kids and the teaching profession. He was a perfect gentleman and will be missed. We are all richer for having known Ken as a teacher and a friend. Jack Pilling

Julia, You have our sympathy with the loss of Ken. Shirley and I have very fond memories of our time teaching at Clutier High School, Clutier, Iowa in the late 50's. Those were the good days. God be with you at this time of sadness. Art & Shirley Trebon, Beverly Hills, Florida

I'm so sad to see that Mr. Freeman has passed away. He was one of my favorite teachers at Washington High School and taught me one of the best life-skills that I use daily...keyboarding. He always had a smile and kindness for his students that few teachers possess, and as a teacher myself, I appreciated his hard work with CREA. You have my deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow. Rest in peace, Ken.

Ken was a wonderful quiet pleasant man. I enjoyed knowing him, coaching Mike, and interacting with you Julie . Very few nicer men have I known. I'm glad he was in my life. Rest in peace friend. Harve
