Alison Lea McNamara, 41, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at her home. Memorial Service: 1:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom.
Alison was born May 28, 1977, the daughter of Thomas and Carol (Mowery) McNamara, in Cedar Rapids. She was very much an artist at heart, and had a great talent for making jewelry and painting. Alison was also excellent at baking, and enjoyed making delicious treats for her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Carol McNamara; grandmother, Alma McNamara; significant other, Joseph Cooey; family members, Erin (Dave) McNamara-Ankney, Sara (Jim) Edge, Dylan (Meghan) McNamara, Seamus Edge, Madison (Ricky) House, Ian (Ella) Huff, Oliva Huff; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Leo Mowery and Dorothy Mowery; and paternal grandfather, Eugene McNamara.
