Prayers and thoughts for Cornelia and all of Don's family. At one time I was a fellow member of the choir at First Presbyterian where I met Don and Cornelia. When they were off on one of their travels, they asked me to house sit as well as care for their 3 dogs. They were loving and generous people. I'd lost touch with them and especially want to send condolences to Cornelia and let her know I'm thinking of her. Karen Knowling Albertus

I met Don 15 years ago when I helped him sell several condos in the Applewood Mesa area. We had many colorful conversations over the years and I admired his candor and jovial pursuit in his beliefs. He was always quick to do the right thing and ready to help at a moments notice. His work ethic and tenacity is matched by none and I will truly miss him . My sincere condolences to his family . He was truly one-of-a-kind. Godspeed Don.

I worked for Mr Ross in the mid 70”s as his applewood Mesa boy. The opportunity was amazing, and what I learned has been helpful my entire life. From handing me a shovel to help Bill Kuda, a linesman’s pliers to assist Gary Bright, a hammer for Johnny Hancock, or a trowel to assist Clay. Not to mention a corn hook at the farm or teaching me to drive..... What I experienced probably cannot happen today for most people, but I have done my best to pass on what I learned......share what you know and teach those who want to learn. My condolences to his family. Especially St Olaf John. One more bucket ride by Don with you me and butcher ! Thank you Mr Ross A grateful Mr Andrew

Cornelia and Family, We were deeply saddened to read of your loss of such a loved one. We send our prayers and sincere condolences to your fine family. I was a member of Beethoven Club when we lived in Cedar Rapids as was Cornelia.

I first met Don when I delivered mail in the Applewood Mesa area. As I came to know him, I soon considered Don to be a good friend - he treated me with kindness, respect and compassion. He was a hard working, resilient person who was not afraid to share his opinion. My condolences to the entire Ross family.

My wife Dagmar and I first met Don Ross when he built our condominium, and the friendship grew from there to the golf course at Elmcrest Country Club. We will always cherish his friendship and especially his wonderful outgoing personality. Our deepest condolences are with Don's family at this sad time. Don will always be remembered as a good friend and a wonderful individual.

I cared for Donald, as one of his physicians, and over time he and I came to enjoy something more akin to a father-son relationship, one which I cherished, one that his real son, John, also appreciated. The truth is, I came to love Donald, as if he were my own dad, with John himself witness to that conversation, with John laughingly recognizing me then as a brother from another mother. Tonight, I miss my friend, my adopted father, as it were, am one with John, and with all of Donald's family. Donald was a very good man, did much good in his long life, and I will remember him--and our time together in clinic--forever.
