Lei Bei, 31, of Cedar Rapids died Friday September 14, 2018 at his home. Memorial services at 4:00 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in the Cedar Memorial Mausoleum Columbarium. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle; his parents George and Kathy Bei of Newark, California; mother and father-in-law Roberto and Elma Ang of San Diego; sister-in-law Sharyn Ang also of Denver, Colorado; as well as many friends and colleagues.
Lei was born on October 5, 1986 in Shiyan, China the son of George and Kathy Zhao Bei. He graduated from the University of California Irvine and later received his law degree from the University of Iowa. Bei was an attorney at Nidey Erdahl Fisher Pilkington and Meier Law Firm for several years.
He enjoyed computer and card games, fishing and travel with Michelle. They traveled not only throughout the United States but to China, Japan, the Caribbean, and Alaska. Lei was a dedicated and loving husband, son, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
