I just learned of Jean’s passing last night and am so sad I did not know she had died. I was a special education teacher working with students who had significant behaviors at Wilson School when I met Jean. She was the most lovely and caring school counselor who taught me so much about working with, reaching and loving those at-risk kiddos. I am so thankful for the time Jean put into her job, helping me improve my teaching and for just being an all-around amazing person. I realize this is two years after her passing, but please know I am so sad to hear she had died. I still think of her often. She was just a wonderful human.

I just learned of Jean's passing today. What an incredible lady. I have so many fond memories of working with Jean at Wilson Middle School. She was a constant source of strength and inspiration for me. She was a fierce advocate for kids, a wise and compassionate counselor, and a loving mentor and friend. She was simply the best, and exuded such grace. I will never forget her laugh - or the impression she made on my life as a young teacher. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Keri, and the Family of Jean, I worked with Jean at Wilson School from 1989 until she retired. At the time, I taught 5th grade and she was the Middle School Counselor. We worked together each year when it came time to transition the 5th graders into Middle School. Jean was always kind and supportive. I enjoyed several end of the year Staff Parties hosted by your Mom and Bruce out on the lake. Such fond memories. Please know that she touched so many people. I am still teaching and will unable to attend the services, but wanted you to know that you and all those grieving are in my thoughts and prayers.

Keri, Gavin, & family, Jean was amazing in so many ways. We remember taking mother (Agnes) and Aunt Phyllis to see her shortly after she returned to her home after her fall. We told her we would bring something in for lunch but when we arrived the table was set and a lovely lunch was ready. She was so very giving and always made us (and I think anyone who came to see her) feel welcome and special. What a wonderful, strong and capable woman! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jeanne (Fenchel) & Bill Tyler

Keri, Gavin, and family - Very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Keri, Your Mom was such a terrific person. My mother was one of her biggest fans, and shared many wonderful moments with Jean over the years. I will always remember her for her positive outlook, cheerful Nature and hospitality whenever Cathy and I had an occasion to visit her. I am especially grateful that she sang at Dad's funeral service. Her presence made such a difference to our family in those very difficult moments as well as the many moments of celebration she shared with us. My condolences to you, Mike and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your mother at Wilson from 1987 until her retirement. She was always calm and focused on what was best for the kids. She was such an asset in our building, and I am sure even more so in your lives. She has left a legacy to live up to for all of us.

Keri, I am so sorry. Your mom was pretty terrific. I have some fond memories of back in the day. I’m sure you have many more. Hold them close in your heart. Condolences to you and your entire family. With love, Sarah

Jean was a long-time ‘church friend’ and will be so deeply missed. She was always ready with a smile! Our most sincere sympathy to her family.

So sorry for your loss Keri. Keep all the wonderful memories of your mother close to your heart.
