I will always remember Walt for his ability to see the good in all situations and people; and with a calm hand, guide and give opportunity to as many as he could. Big smile, big heart, big laugh. I thank him for the doors he opened for me and wish him a peaceful journey.

I was socked to hear of Walt’s passing, it was a pleasure meeting him and doing business with him at Pickwick from when I first came over back in 2013 he always made me feel welcome every time we met, when every I returned back to the US I made a point in coming down to see him in Cedar Rapids. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. His obituary brings back memories of the genuine gentleman I first met all those years ago, he will never be forgotten.

Dear Linda & Family, We were so sorry to hear the news of Walt’s death. Fran & I both remember him fondly. I remember taking my kindergarten class to Pickwick Manufacturing for a field trip. Walt was so patient & kind with my students. We wrote a story about our visit & I was amazed at how many things the children remembered & understood. Fran remembers visiting Pickwick with a group of industrial arts teachers. He said Walt was so knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Walt touched the lives of so many people during his lifetime. He will certainly be missed. ?? Fran & Cheryl Moe

Linda (Peter, Ryan, and families) Sincere condolences. May your memories keep him forever in your heart.

Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Walter but if his son, Pete, was any indication of the man he was I am positive he will be missed.

Walt was a man of great moral values and it was a pleasure to have worked so long for him. He was external optimist, a wonderful friend when you got the moment to just talk with him. His was full of knowledge and will definitely be missed. May his legacy be with all of you that had the pleasure to come across his path. Prayers as your family during this time. Love to all ...
