Beverly was born June 25, 1928 in Algona and was a graduate of Algona High School, she then attended nurses training in Fort Dodge, earning her LPN. In 1946 she married Donald Krause in Algona, where they farmed and raised a family, eventually moving to Iowa Falls, then Cedar Rapids. Their marriage ended in 1968 and she was employed for a short time with the Cedar Rapids School System before finding her true passion in Real Estate. She began working for Bob Lehman Real Estate before moving over to Zachar Realtors, then managed for Larry D Sharp & Company, which became Byers & Happel, eventually becoming Iowa Realty. It was in this realm that she found her mate for life, and married Robert Hanson in 1970, renewing their vows in 1985. They were successful partners in life and business and enjoyed traveling together during her tenure with the local, state and national real estate associations. They loved taking their grandchildren sightseeing on the annual trip to the National Convention held in major US cities.
Beverly Ann Stebritz Krause Hanson was an outgoing, fun-loving, kind, compassionate woman with a beautiful smile and a beautiful soul. She handed down her talent and deep rooted musical genes to her children and grandchildren, who she cherished. She was loved by the staff at Mercy Hallmar during her seven year stay there, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
