Two days ago I found a metal box full of old recipes at a St. Vinny’s thrift store in Madison, WI. It seems to be a collection of all sorts of people’s recipes, many are handwritten but some are clippings from newspapers, some were written with a typewriter, and some were cards from GW sugar. From the few names I could read, Harriet was one of them. I decided to look up her name and found this obituary. I believe she is the same Harriet who wrote a few of the recipes, since she was born and lived so close by. I plan on making her recipes to honor her memory :) she will always live on <3

St Louis Kopps are so very sad we won't be with you on Friday. We will be thinking of Hattie and the whole family.

Doug-sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Mother’s are very special.

I knew Harriet during the several years we attended KPPC, and she was a wonderful lady. I have no doubt that she was indeed able to draw a line through all of the items on her bucket list. My heart goes out to Bob and the rest of the family, as I am sure she will be sorely missed. We will be out of town and unable to pay our respects in person.

I so wish we could be there with you all on Friday. You will all be in my thoughts. Aunt Hattie was so special and will be missed. Love to all. Sue
