My condolences to Mike's family. So sorry to hear of his passing. As an old Elma, Iowa neighbor, I have very fond memories of Mike as part of our neighborhood group of kids frequently gathering to play games. The memories are sweet. I'm saddened for your loss. Mike was one of the good guys.

I worked with Mike on the night shift with the Cedar Rapids Police Department. I will always remember his quick wit and ready smile. I will never forget one year when we were working on Easter. Mike came through the front door of the station and we could him yell, "I don't care what you are, get those eggs off our lawn". I loved working with him! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace Sgt.

Mike; Thanks for all you taught me when I was starting out and the times we would relive when I would stop out at Kirkwood. Greg and Mike probably couldn't figure out how we made it as far as we did.
You touched a lot of lives both in the public and profession. You will be missed by not only Sandy and the rest of the family but by all of your vast network. Rest in Peace, my friend. You are now 10-42.
