My condolences to the family...you know I will always remember you Mr. Birmingham. You are one of my favorite teachers and mentors. The conversations we had will always stay with me, as well as the advice. I have had so many great conversations with people by telling them your teachings, and they all say you are right. I will continue teaching your teachings and keeping your name alive. I know my secret is safe with you ????...

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My condolences to Mike's family. So sorry to hear of his passing. As an old Elma, Iowa neighbor, I have very fond memories of Mike as part of our neighborhood group of kids frequently gathering to play games. The memories are sweet. I'm saddened for your loss. Mike was one of the good guys.

so sorry about your stepdad, Dave - I'm sure that Jeff knew him and my sympathy & Jeff's to Sandra & you. Maybe they are together in heaven right now... We can only hope!

I saw Mike at Bob's visitation the night before he passed. We shared some heartfelt stories and laughs. My condolences to the Birmingham family.

I worked with Mike on the night shift with the Cedar Rapids Police Department. I will always remember his quick wit and ready smile. I will never forget one year when we were working on Easter. Mike came through the front door of the station and we could him yell, "I don't care what you are, get those eggs off our lawn". I loved working with him! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace Sgt.

So sorry for your loss! Did not know Michael while in the 12th! I was with the 10th SFG(A) at the time and did not get to the 12th SFG(A) in Arlington Heights until 1987. Sorry to hear that another warrior has passed! Rest easy, warrior! DOL

Sandra, I'm so sorry for your lost. I'm thinking of you and Mike's family as you go through this trying time. He left great memories that will be forever cherished! May God bless you and your families and keep you safe!

My heart goes out to you j y thoughtsa are with you he was a good man

Sandra so sorry for your loss Mike was a great person whom I had the pleasure to have several conversations with about family, life and of course guns!!! He always had a good story as well!! He will be missed!!

Mike; Thanks for all you taught me when I was starting out and the times we would relive when I would stop out at Kirkwood. Greg and Mike probably couldn't figure out how we made it as far as we did. You touched a lot of lives both in the public and profession. You will be missed by not only Sandy and the rest of the family but by all of your vast network. Rest in Peace, my friend. You are now 10-42.
