Jane M. Carpenter, 89 of Cedar Rapids passed away Friday December 7, 2018. Services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Springs of Life Foursquare Church in Cedar Rapids. Pastor Lynn and Karmen Furrow will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Monday and at the Church after 10:00 AM on Tuesday.

Survivors include three daughters, Lea Ann Arreola of Kansas City, Missouri, Jenora Malamphy and Mary Strawn (Rick) all of Cedar Rapids; two sons Kevin (Debbie) Malamphy of Cedar Rapids, Steve (Su) Malamphy of Anna, Texas; and a brother George Bell of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadette, and Ellyn, four brothers John, Elwyn, Ernie, and Pete; a son-in-law Manny Arreola; and two step-sons Frank Jr. and David Carpenter.

Jane was born on June 1, 1929 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Gilbert and Goldie Decker Bell. She married Boyd Malamphy in Cedar Rapids. He passed away in 1959. She later married Frank Carpenter in Preston, Minnesota. He passed away in 2008.

Jane worked for North American Van Lines and retired from there after 30 years of service. She was a member of Springs of Life Foursquare Church. 

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, cake decorating, and in her younger years was a State Championship Trumpet Player.

Jane will forever be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
