My husband, Tom Parks, was both defended by Pat and in the other side of the fence. Pat was a ferocious and fearless litigator. Even his physical presence was impressive.
And one of the court for luminaries, Pat was defending my husband. As the other side prepare their case Pat was busy objecting to much of the information.
At one point the judge looked it Pat and said “Mr. Roby aren’t you going to object?” Pat stood up his full height stretched his arms out and said “Judge, you know me I object to everything. “
He will be missed for his devotion to the law and to his family

Claudette and Paula, we are so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He was a truly larger than life individual. I remember having the opportunity of working with Pat in a supporting role in one of his large cases. Exceptional legal mind and presence.
Pat was also my first European tour guide on a trip to France many years ago, (with Claudette as his assistant). Very memorable trip with Pat using his fluent French to convince a Bordeaux vineyard operator to host us in his wine cellar rather than ejecting us from the premises.
He will be missed both personally and professionally.

Pat was one of the few "happy warriors" among us who both relished his work and honored his profession with effective, ethical service. There aren't enough Pat Roby's in the world today.

Claudette and Paula -I am so sorry to hear about Pat. I always had such a great time with you all when I got to watch Paula and Dan when you went out of town. You were always so kind to want me to sit down and have a drink with you to chat before and after you left. I tried to remember that when I had babysitters. Much love.
