Charles Junior Miller, 89 a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown formerly of Coggon and Marion died at the Veterans Home on Sunday October 22, 2017. Graveside services at 2:00 PM on Thursday at the Coggon Cemetery. 

Survivors include his wife, June of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Charlie (Rebecca) and Jimmy (friend Molly) all of Cedar Rapids; a daughter Patsy Camp of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and a sister Barbara Clepper of Paragould, Arkansas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Charlie was born on February 6, 1928 in Leachville, Arkansas the son of William and Eva Gibson Miller. He Married Emma June Hendrix on June 12, 1948 in Leachville.

Charlie worked at Wilson and Co. and later Farmstead for over 30 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Coggon, a Shriner, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Charlie enjoyed cooking, barbequing, hunting, and fishing. He was a very outgoing person who always enjoyed a good joke and was a real story teller. Charlie will forever be remembered for being a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
