Condolences to the McManus Family from the McManus family in Florida. My Dad, Thomas McManus, was his Cousin. I came across the Honorable Edward McManus Obit when My Mom, Eileen McManus(Steffenson) from Cedar Rapids, had lost her Aunt and we looked up her Obit. Mom just turned 90, lives with my family here in Florida. She still remembers My Dad and her helping Mr McManus campaign for Iowa Governor. Mom had many nice things to say about Judge McManus. RIP

What a fine man........I always liked and admired Judge McManus.

Dear Tom, i am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. What a long and glorious life he had. May you find comfort in your memories. Peace, your school friend Debbie.

Condolences to the extended McManus family. An extraordinary life!

Dennis and LuAnne, We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family during this time of loss. It is always difficult to lose a parent. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

LuAnne and Dennis, I am truly sorry that I was unable to attend the visitation or service, but please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go to the McManus family. I served a legal internship in his office many years ago and the experience was wonderful. The Judge took the time to teach me many things about the practice of law and the time spent with him was invaluable. He will be missed.

Agnes Nulty gives her sympathy to the McManus Family. He was a great neighbor at Regency East these last few years. I appreciate your dedication and service to our community. Rest in Peace, Agnes

Judge McManus was a wonderful public servant in all his years in politics and on the bench. But I'm most grateful for his friendship with my father. They spent many an hour on the golf course swapping stories and shaking off the dust of all those law books. I know Dad greatly respected him and valued his friendship.

There is so much to say about this great man. He served as a treasured teacher and mentor who asked questions to spark self- discovery. He led by example, showing me and others how to be loyal through his unselfish service and commitment to his country, family, faith, community and friends. He inspired me to strive to be a better person and encouraged me and others to expand upon his service and good deeds. Working as a law clerk, under his leadership, was one of the most fulfilling times of my life. I cherish every text, letter and visit we exchanged over the past 30 years and recall with great fondness the daily vocabulary lessons he led during the two years I worked under him. I carry his valuable lessons with me to this day, His influence will never stop, and he will forever remain in my heart. I hope that it is an added source of comfort to you at this time of grief to know how much others care and appreciate this great man.

To the McManus family: Please accept our condolences on your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. We hope that comfort and peace come to you. Judge McManus was a pillar in the community and I am sure he will truly be missed by many. May God bless all of you. Jim and Carol Voss
