Memorial
James (Jamey) Hamilton, 46, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at home. A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11 A.M.at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Riverside, Iowa.
Jamey was born on January 15, 1971; the son of Chuck and Betty (Watkinson) Hamilton. He graduated in 1990 from Linn Mar High School. Jamey loved being outdoors and would spend his time hunting, fishing, and camping, he was a dedicated Cubs and Hawkeyes fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Florence Hamilton, grandfather Walter Watkinson, and nephew Brant Hamilton.
Left to cherish Jamey’s memories are his parents, brother Craig (Julie) Hamilton, of Earlham, Iowa, sister Jen Hamilton, of Arcata, California, grandmother Dorothy Watkinson, of Riverside, Iowa, nephews Bradley, Braydon, and Brodie, of Earlham, Iowa, and special dogs Roscoe and Daisy.
A memorial fund has been established.
