Dear David, Hannah and Peter, I just learned of Ellen's passing. I cannot express my sympathies deep enough. As you know I met Ellen the summer of 1969 in Spain and we have been friends for almost 50 years in spite of the distance between us. Our visits were not often but I always looked forward to them. Alan and I will miss her. We love her.

Dave We are shocked and saddened by the passing of Ellen. We just saw her a couple weeks ago at the store as upbeat as always. Our thoughts are with you and the entire family.

Dave I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you can stay strong in your time of grief.

Dear Dave, Hannah and Peter, I was shocked to read about Ellen's death. I was a good friend of Elaine Peters, Ellen's mother, and have followed the family thru all the difficulties of life. You have my sympathy and I will always remember her. Marion Engel

Dear Dave and family, Words cannot describe how heartbroken Michelle and I are at Ellen’s passing. She was such a wonderful, vibrant, and happy person. Dave, and family, When I opened the paper today I could not believe Ellen is gone. So sorry for your loss. She was such an up beat person who enjoyed life. She had really just begun to be a Grandma. I don't have words to express how sorry I am for you Dave. Your friend Connie Snyder

Dave, I'm so sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My few interactions with Ellen are memorable. She was a bright light and loving soul. I'm so sorry.

Dearest David, Hannah and Peter, words have not been invented to express the deep sadness I am feeling for you, the rest of your family, and all of Ellen's friends at her passing. It was much too soon and nothing short of a tragedy. My life now has a void that will never be filled by anyone else, ever. Ellen was part of my soul and it is aching. How lucky we all were to have her in our lives. She was dearly loved and made the world a brighter and better place. What incredible memories I have of the time we shared! Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Dave and family. Louise and I are so sorry to learn of Ellen's passing. Louise first knew her from middle school and was happy to reconnect with her after the two of you were married. You are a good friend and you all are in our prayers.
