Tom had a capacity for kindness and compassion that is rare indeed. His ability to speak clearly, and honestly profoundly impacted all who were privileged enough to know him.

Dear Teresa, Don and the rest of Tom's family. I'm so sorry to read about Tom in the paper this morning. We kept in touch via e-mail and every now and then by phone. He kept me updated about him self etc. He and Mary were such good friends and neighbors and now they are both gone, but are together now. They thought the world of each other.
