Gonzalo Monfero Bodeta went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 3, 2016 in Jamaica, New York.
Visitation will be on Thursday September 15, 2016 between 5:00-8:00 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday September 16, 2016, 11:00 am at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Sonny Vitaliz will officiate at the service. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery after the service.
Gonzalo was born on May 3, 1936 in the Philippines. He was the son of the late Basilio Bodeta and Anaceta Monfero.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Ruth Bodeta ; children Grace (Sonny) Vitaliz of Virginia Beach, Virginia , Arnel (Erlyn) Bodeta of Woodhaven, New York, Genice (Gilbert) Jaramillo of Sydney, Australia, Gail (Rick) Lindo of Robins, Iowa, Eric (Aireen) Bodeta of Houston, Texas and Gladys (Ian) Umali of Houston, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Gabriel Philip Jaramillo.
