Dorothy Arlene Leonard, age 94, died Sunday November 20, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Services will be held at 10:00am Saturday November 26, 2016 at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Rev. Mike Townsley will officiate at the service. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday evening November 25, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial will be at the Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax.
Dorothy is survived by her two children Darrell (Lynde) Leonard of California and Diana (Bill Johnson) Leonard of Wisconsin; a grandson Lonzo Price of California; Niece and Nephew Kay (Steve) Dumnermouth of Cedar Rapids and Mike (Lynda) Burgess of Fairfax.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; siblings David, Donald and Lois Burgess and her parents.
Dorothy was born August 17, 1922 in Fairfax, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ray and Olive McNee Burgess. On January 31, 1945 Dorothy and Clifford Leonard were united in marriage in Fairfax, Iowa.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
