Lee J. Turner, 81, Formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday January 12, 2016 in his home in Arizona with his family. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hope Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dan Clark-Bridges.  Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathy McLees of Hiawatha, Iowa, Christine (Kenneth) Freeman of Goodyear, Arizona and Amanda (Timothy) Hedgpeth of Denver, Colorado, a brother, Don Turner of Marion, Iowa and his sister, Maribelle Kucera of Hills, Iowa. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Dan Caraway, Rob Caraway, Briana McLees, Jacob McLees, Christina Gustin, his great grandchildren; Alexandra Van Trump, Richard Kornafel III, Reign Kornafel, and Bo Dittmar.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his son, James Edward Turner, his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. 

Lee was born July 17, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Hershel and Lela (Longfellow) Turner. He married Nancy K. Bear on September 27, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Lee was a Route Salesman for Colonial Bakery in Cedar Rapids retiring after 30 years of service and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Lee enjoyed woodworking, small engine repair and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
