Hey Dad! Just been reflecting on how you played such an important role in my life, and my dreams. You taught me how to respect others, helps others, and follow through on it. Your insight is what brought me several awards and even the KCRG 9-who-care recognition this year, with the banquet the day after you passed. But you did your job, you raised me to be that person, and to also be there for you and Mom. Who I am today is because of you and Mom. My desire to make you both proud gave me the strength to get through the hard times. And that trend trickled down to my Daughters and have made them the strong women they are today. Even with your passing, I have generated ideas which have surfaced because of the learning process this has given me, and look to share that with others. Your spirit lives on. But I will miss stopping over every day to see you, especially since last summer as the slowing process started. I felt closer to you than I ever had, and could feel the trust you placed in me to get the job done. Being there with you the last 2 hours was horrible, yet, there was no way I would allow you to be alone. So I took the journey with you until your next turn came, and then said good bye. It hasn't really hit me yet, so please reach down and hold me up when the time comes, that reality touches my heart that you are really gone, and point me in the direction of my next task you have for me. I love you Dad, always have, and always will! As I gave you one last hug as they took you out I said I would be talking to you soon. There will be a sign of where that place is, you pick it, and send me a hint. Your Son, Rich-Jr.
