Martez Rodreco Ceaser, was born September 12, 1986 in Waterloo, IA to the union of Rodney Ceaser and Stephanie Vasser-Ceaser. Martez attended Cedar Rapids Schools and graduated with his G.E.D. He acquired skills in cabinetry and pursued an education online with the University of Phoenix.
Martez had a creative gift in art. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, playing pool and being amongst family and friends. Martez touched lives of many people with his smile, charisma, and his great sense of humor.
Martez departed from this life on December 9, 2016. Mourning the loss, yet rejoicing his life, he is survived by his parents Rodney Ceaser and Stephanie Vasser-Ceaser; his sons Martez Jr. and Marques Allen; siblings Harris and Reco Ceaser of St. Louis, MO, Rodney Berry of Des Moines, IA, Ashley, Aliyah and Alycia Shavers of Waterloo, IA, Rodney Ceaser Jr. of Mesa AZ, maternal grandparents: Edwin and Georgia Vasser of Houston TX, paternal grandparents: Harris Ceaser of TX and Audrey Hardy of Troutdale, OR., aunts: Teresa Jordan, TX, Tracey Ceaser, Waterloo, IA, Sonya Vasser of Davenport, IA uncles: Kenny Vasser of Cedar Falls, IA, Andre Vasser , Cedar Rapids IA, Raymond Vasser, Hiawatha, IA, Chavon Vasser of Houston, TX, Warren Hardy of Sioux City, IA, Harris Ceaser Jr., TX, and Rickey Ceaser, of TX. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Sherry Ceaser.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, by Pastor Damian Epps.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM at the church.
