Geraldine Marie Byse, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, August 07, 2016 at her home in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Geraldine was born on September 4, 1938 in Carson, IA. She was the daughter of Ray and Naomi (Palmer) Broers. On November 10, 1956, she was married to Lowell Byse. Geraldine cared for and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had an avid love for animals and gardening. She and Lowell enjoyed traveling as well as riding their Harley. Geraldine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Byse; three daughters, Pamela Byse, Kathryn (Craig) Feeney, Theresa (John) Listebarger; two grandchildren, Hanna and John Listebarger III.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Lanny.
