Jim, family, and friends--Your mom, Marie, was a truly wonderful person and giver to everyone. I met her through my mom and when she was a member of the Auxiliary and helped send me to Girls State (which impacted my life). She was always kind and friendly to everyone and I am sure she will be missed.

Oh, My Marie, The first person I met in Shellsburg, before we even purchased our home in 1996, it was at Roy's grocery store. She had the kindest smile and a very loving way. I felt right at home.....Went out to the car and told my husband, I would love to live here, after going to many small towns, this was the one.... Thank you Marie !! I Love You and will miss this outstanding lady, My Marie ... Sending my sympathy to all the family with Prayers !

My mom, Betty Evans Manross, and your mom were lifelong friends. She will be so sad that your mom is gone. She always cherished their friendship. And my sister has Marie as her middle name.

Jim and Theresa I am so sorry for your loss. Marie was always such a sweet kind woman. She will be missed

so sorry for your loss, Jim and Theresa. I always enjoyed seeing her at Roy's.

Marie always loved a good Christian Fiction book. I will moos her friendship and all the years of service she gave to the community.

Marie was always a smile and a friendly word no matter when and where she was. May God comfort you in your time of loss and know that He has Marie in His loving arms.

Marie was a wonderful woman. Everywhere you would see her, she would always stop and talk to you. Have missed seeing her at Roy's since her retirement. This lady will be deeply missed. RIP Marie.
