Dearest Jane, I am shocked to learn of Denny's passing last fall! Denny and Bruce and Karen Beth and Sue Almquist and so many others were great friends at Iowa for all 4 years, if you remember. Gary and I were in the car this morning, listening to a 60's station when "A Whiter Shade of Pale" came on. I chuckled, remembering Denny said one night when we were at Joe's that he was going to have that song played at his wedding! I told Gary I was going to find Denny and talk to him one last time we could. And now I learned of his passing and I am filled with sorrow. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, Jane. Denny was one of the good guys and I am going to remember him the way he was at your wedding and that he always had the shiniest loafers of anyone! I hope he didn't suffer. Blessings to you and your boys, Teri

Jane - I was shocked and saddened to see Denny's obit in the Cedar Memorial Website. I was out of town when it must have been in the paper. I have fond memories of him clear back to the Nortbrook days and card club days. He was so much fun to be around. My sympathies to the entire family. Alice Brown

Jane and sons. So sorry to hear about Dennis and sorry we didn't come to his visitation. I just found out today about him from Nancy Welsh. I don't know how I missed it in the paper but I did. I know that you and your sons will miss him a lot. He was so much fun to be around and he was to young to leave us. We know he is out of pain now and with his maker. You have our Sympathy

Jane and family, I am so sorry to hear of Denny's passing. He was truly a great guy to work with. I wanted to go to the wake service, but I had a sick child in the hospital. Take care and prayers to your family.

Hi had the pleasure of working with Denny for a few years on his insurance. He was always one of my favorite clients to talk to, was so easy to work with and always had a kind thing to say. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My deepest sympathy to you Jane and Family on the death of Dennis. I remember him from his days at First Trust & Savings Bank. He was also good for a laugh or a joke. May he rest in Peace. Yours, John A. Kuba

Dear Jane, I was so sorry to read about Denny's death. I had every intension of seeing you at the visitation but my granddaughter from St. Paul came to town and I ended up spending the afternoon with her and the family. I didn't know she was here until just before I left for church. I hope you will accept my sincere sympathy. I wish I could give you a hug. I'm leaving town early tomorrow morning so I can't be at the funeral. I'll be praying for you! Love, Kate

Jane and family, Our sincerest sympathies. Roger and Angie

Jane and sons---- We were so sorry to read about Denny's death. Even though we haven't seen the two of you for quite some time, we always remember the great times we used to have when David and Denny ran in races on the weekends here in Cedar Rapids. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by many.

Jane, I am sorry to hear about Dennis. Our condolences to you and your family. Dennis was our senior class secretary and although we have had little contact over the years, I enjoyed him as a friend and classmate. We wish you both could have been to the 50 year reunion last year. We missed him. May Heavenly Father bless you.

I am sorry for your loss. Denny was a great guy. We enjoyed his friendship and sense of humor. We will all miss him.

Jane & Sons....Denny & I grew up in B.P, lived a couple of blocks from each other, hung out a lot & graduated in '64. My parents were so fond of him & I enjoyed time at his home as well...in fact, Naomi & my dad also graduated high school together. Denny had such an amazing sense of humor & even on my worst day he could always make me laugh! May you find peace & comfort in wonderful memories. R.I.P. old friend!!

My condolences to Jane and the boys and family. Denny and I worked together for 25 years at First Trust and we both were at Dial Finance before that. May he rest in peace.

I was so sorry to read about Denny. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you and will keep in my heart all the wonderful times we had when boys were younger and playing in sports. Jane, I really do know what you are going through as I lost Richard 2/19/15 and we would have celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary yesterday 10/9/15. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rob and Hedi, Andi and I very sorry about to hear about the passing of Dennis. I was visiting with my father last night about Dennis and what a good friend he was to my Dad when he was at the Northwestern Mutual office. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and hoping to see you guys soon. Eric and Andi Londquist

Jane and family, I have known Dennis growing up in Belle Plaine. His parents lived down the street from my Grandmother. We were in many activities together in high school with Denny being a year older. We went to the same church. I have great memories of him. My deepest condolences to you Jane and your Sons. Was so sad to hear of his passing. Janifer Siders.
