Harold M Greaser, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids.  Private family inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date.

Harold is survived by his sons,  Douglas Greaser of Cedar Rapids; Gregg (Patty) Greaser of Hiawatha; three grandchildren, Michelle Hanke, Jeff Greaser, and Kalli Hoben;  great grandson, Dylan Elliott; sister-in-law, Margaret Greaser of Vinton; a brother, Ray Greaser of Manchester; and daughter-in-law, Trudy Greaser of Cedar Rapids.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Edna in 2011, son Gary Greaser in 2015, and his siblings, Carl Greaser, Helen Walthart and Charlotte Caslavka.  

Harold was born June 13, 1920 in Vinton, Iowa to Alfred and Anna (Martin) Greaser.  He married Edna Johnson on September 23, 1942 in Vinton.  Harold proudly served in the US Navy during WWII.  He began working for Farm Service in Vinton and Walcott then moving to Cedar Rapids in 1959 to work at Happel & Sons and proudly retiring from Pauls Discount store in Iowa City.  Harold was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.  He enjoyed farming as a young man, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  

The family would like to thank all the staff and residents from Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center for their love, support and tender care given to Harold.
