Sympathies to the entire Walter family, I was saddened and surprised to stumble on the news of Mrs. Walter's passing. We were neighbors for 20 years on 31st and Barb went to high school with my husband and myself. This is a great picture of her and captures her vibrance and personality. She never looked a bit her age! We would laugh when we got together to visit, because I asked her if she was of German descent. She said yes, and I would ask her to just keep talking so that I could enjoy her voice and cadence. Bernadine reminded me of my dad's cousin ---who I used to think was so beautiful, and listening to her speak reminded me of the women on my dad's side of the family. Mrs. Walter was a joy to be around and you must miss her immensely. Because she had room in her heart for Him, The Lord has prepared a room for her in his heavenly home ---what a comforting thought.

Mr. Walter and Family, We would like to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers at your time of loss! May her memory burn forever in the ones she touched. Sincerely, Billy and Shannon

Hi Mark, my deepest sympathy for you and your family. Your Mom was very kind to me from giving us a little cash for Pizza Inn to trips to Delhi when we were boys. She will always be in my memories as a wonderful lady and great Mom.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I visited with your mother awhile back and she was so kind and we laughed a lot and I will always remember her with fondness.

I'm saddened by the loss in your family. It reminds me of the frailty of our human lives and why we must celebrate our families while we can. Though my own last meeting with Bernadine, or as I knew her - Mark's mom - was over 30 years ago, she left a lasting impression on me. My condolences to Mark, his father, and extended family. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for some time to come, I'm sure.

Farewell to our favorite Aunt. We will miss you so much. We have always loved your laughter, spirited ways, generosity, your dry wit, your resilient character and devotion to your family which even included us. Even though we were far away at times, we always felt the connection you provided. Knowing that we mattered in your life gave us that secure sense of being part of a larger family. Thank-you for all you have done for us over the years. We will always and forever remember you. To Eddie, Pat, Mark, Barbara and Mary and the rest of the family: Nothing can prepare you for a loss like this, saying we’re sorry just doesn’t come close to the intense grief you are experiencing. You all were her life and passion, and what gave her existence such richness and meaning. She was very fortunate to have such a devoted family as you all. She had a full and wonderful long life because of you. We are all very privileged to have had her as part of our lives and it is so difficult to say goodbye. Our tears are with you and she will be tremendously missed. Love to you all, Jim, John and Karen

“Death leaves a heartache which no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.” Mary and Family and Friends, I never met Bernadine personally, but I know how truly special she was to have been loved the way you have all loved her, by the tremendous devotion of her family and the fact that you all wanted every minute you could have with her to cherish your time spent together. While it is so difficult to suffer the loss, celebrate the wonderful life she led, the example she set for others, and the loving memories of the 90 years of a life well lived she leaves behind which will always be with you. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Bernadine was such a joy to talk to and all her wonderful stories I will cherish forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Walter family for this loss of a lovely wife , mother and grandmother.

My condolences to the family on the passing of your mother. It is never easy to lose a parent, no matter your age. I pray for your peace and comfort as you continue your life journey without your mother's earthly presence.

I was truly saddened when I read about Mrs. Walter's passing this morning. She was one of the kindest and most compassionate people I was fortunate to have known. When my parents were still alive, she always greeted me with a question as to how they were doing, and since their passing she was still concerned with how the rest of my family were. Her family (especially Mr. Walter and Pat) have my deepest condolences. If anyone goes straight to heaven, she surely has.

I am so sorry for the loss suffered by Ed, by dear friends Mark and Kim and by all the family. It has been an honor for me to be associated with this extraordinary family and I am profoundly saddened by the passing of this wonderful woman.
