We are saddened by Peggy's sudden passing, knowing she had much more life in her. She epitomized optimism, dedication and love of family. We enjoyed many family get togethers, Dick and Ruth traveling with Peg & Larry to the U.K., and some lovely summer weeks together at Clear Lake. She and Larry were bon vivants and shared their interests in cuisine, mushrooming, gardening, fishing....we learned to love many things in common thanks to their enthusiasm and sense of adventure. Also via music in Cedar Rapids, Larry in the chorus (often sharing the CRSO stage with nephew Michael) and Peggy in the audience or as a choir mother in church. They lived in and supported their community to the fullest. Their contribution and influence have been keenly felt by so many.

Peggy's family: Doug & I both traveled with Peggy and Larry on much loved and remembered dive trips. We played dominoes with Peggy for a long time now. We just loved her to pieces. What a special special lady. Love to you all.

Snal - I was so, so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. What a great mom (and grandma )! I have fond memories of visiting your house, hanging out in the basement or the kitchen and visiting with your mom and dad (if they were still awake when we dragged in). I remember her as sociable and fun. And always interested in your friends and what was going on in their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I was so sorry to read about Peggy's passing. She was a great lady. I have many fond memories growing up in Cedar Rapids and sitting at Peggy's kitchen table with Sally and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sally, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. May God wrap His arms around you and give you comfort during this time.

Peggy has been such an inspiration to our entire family! Kent & I first met Larry & Peggy through Westminster Presbyterian Church when we became members several years back. She was always a bright and cheery woman with a strong, positive spirit! She extended this same positive energy to our daughter. Delaney, when she was born and we attended services. Peggy has a wonderful laugh and has enveloped our entire family in her care and love. Peggy will live in fondly in our hearts - we are all a better person having known her. Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. Debra, Kent, & Delaney Steenblock

I remember many fun but somewhat frantic times when Peggy and Larry helped set up for Nature Center Guild sales, sometimes in howling wind and bone chilling cold. Peggy was a trooper who never let obstacles slow her down. She was a good friend, outstanding volunteer, and never forgot that what she did at the Nature Center helped us introduce our natural heritage to children. Rich Patterson, Director Emeritus, Indian Creek Nature Center

Peggy was a special lady, she was our neighbor on the first floor of Regency South. It was always a joy to meet her in the building. A busy lady with multiple interests and an amazing zest for life; living each day as it was given to the fullest. Anyone that knew her has lost a friend. We are sadden by her passing and offer our sincere sympathy to her family Tom and Bette Janik

Sorry to hear about your Mom. Sally, we had horses at Harmony Hollow. You had Blacky and I had a horse together with Mary Knee. Then later I got Marble the black and white Pinto. Lynn & I celebrated our 30 th wedding anniversary on Mon. July 20 th. We watched the video of our wedding and your mother and Lisa and Margaret Oneyear were in it. Your folks were such great people. Polly Hudecek

We were so sorry to read of Peggy's passing. The old Norwood Drive is so different now with all new people, and no bridge club. Extending our sincere sympathy, Shirley & Ann Cathcart
