I had the pleasure of working with Tom for several years, I enjoyed his conversation and his passion for his family. "She is gone" ~ a poem by David Harkins I am standing on the sea shore. A ship sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, "she is gone." Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all: she is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination. The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not her: and just at the moment when someone at my side says, "she is gone," there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout, "there she comes" - and that is dying

Judy and I want to extend our deepest wishes to the family. My best memories of Tom was while he was working at Rockwell. My job sometimes required a lot of moving around the plant and I would run into Tom in some of the most unusual places. We would share a good laugh or a joke and then move on. It would really help make my day and hopefully Toms.

We were so sorry to hear about Tom. Tom and his brothers have been a part of our lives forever and this was sad to hear. Please accept our sharing of y our grief. We had planned to attend the services, but because of the bad weather we are not going to be able to do so. Prayers and love to you and your family.

I will always be grateful to Tom for helping me adjust to a new life in Cedar Rapids and at Burroughs. I have many great memories working with Tom. He and his beautiful and loving family always made me feel welcome into their home. My prayers to you and your family. I'm so proud to know you. I'll miss you......

We have many fond memories from the early years of your marriage. Work demands have separated us during recent years , but the occasional visits were always lots of fun. Tom really enjoyed bragging about your family and we enjoyed listening about your children & grandchildren. We especially enjoyed it when you invited us to watch the kins in the waterskiing show a few years ago. We will remember Tom as a great family man, hard worker and dear friend. Rest in peace my friend. Our prayers go out to you and your wonderful family.

So sorry to hear of your husband, father and grandfathers passing. Praying for all of you and the strength to get through this difficult time . As Kathy said...heaven has gained another angel.
