Mary Ann:So sorry (belated) to hear of Paul's passing. We just found you with a Google search. We think often of the time we spent together playing hearts (Honest Paul and Dirty Mary). We met you in Baltimore so early in our marriage, you were probably our oldest friends. We hope you and all of your family are doing well.

Mary Ann: So sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't know Paul but I know how lucky he was to have a wonderful wife to care for him. Hope you are doing ok. May God bless and be with you at this difficult time. If there is anything I could do for you please contact me. Love Donna Paxton (329-3175.)

Mary Ann and family, So sorry to see you today and hear about Paul's passing. It is hard to say Goodbye to someone we love. Remember them when they were at their happiest, and let those memories comfort you and keep his spirit alive. We will keep you in our prayers and see you at mass at St Pius X. Deann, Sydney, Alexa and Ava Turner

Mary Ann, Peggy and Family. We were deeply saddened to read of your loss of such a loved one. Our prayers and sincere condolences are extended to your fine family.

Dear Mary Ann, I hope this will not be a duplicate of the one I just wrote but I am not sure that the first one got sent properly. Since I moved from Cedar Rapids to Burlington, Ia. in Aug. of 2009, I have tried to visit the Obituaries from the C. R. Gazette and I was very sorry to see Paul's great picture and Obituary. You folks were always such good friends and we enjoyed sharing time together with you two. I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to you and your lovely family. I am sorry that I am not able to be there to honor you and Paul in person but my thoughts and prayers are certainly with you. Paul was a gentleman's, gentleman, such a sincere, good man, it was a genuine pleasure to be considered one of your friends - thank you!! I send you my most sincere condolences and I wish you the very best for the future. Bob

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Paul will be missed by family and friends, but he will not be forgotten by our heavenly father Jehovah. I hope Jesus' words found at (John 5:28,29) bring comfort knowing that you have an opportunity to see him again.

Kathy, Thinking of you & your family at your time of sorrow, no words can ease your pain, but things will look different tomorrow. Please give your Mom a hug for me. I always enjoyed coming to your house and visiting with your Mom and Dad. Thinking of you all, take care my friend.... Laurie Tipton

I have fond memories of Paul. He was always very kind and helpful and I enjoyed his sense of wit. Alzheimer's is hard to endure for all those who have to sit by and watch helplessly as their loved one fades from recognition. Find comfort in knowing he is resting in the arms of his maker and will no longer be lost in this world. Those blue Irish eyes are smiling down from above for eternity! Love & prayers to you all.

Dear Mary Ann and family, Carol and I send our condolences from Arizona. May you find God's peace during this sad time in the love of your family.

Dear Mary Ann, I want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I am sure Paul is no longer suffering from the dreaded Alzheimers disease. It is 4 years ago today that my mom passed from Alzheimers. You have my sympathy. I am scheduled to play at Mercy Hallmar tomorrow. I will dedicate a song in his memory. May God Bless you in the days to come. Dave Poggenklass (pianist) from Guttenberg, IA.
