Memorial
Richard W. Gremp, 66, of Hiawatha died Monday April 27, 2015 at Manor Care. Private graveside services on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Per Richard’s request there will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Laura, two sons, Adam of Hiawatha and Neil of Cedar Rapids; a brother Paul, and two sisters Elberta Chidlaw and Holly (Steve) Merrifield-Lee all of Colorado. He is also survived by a niece, Heidi and a nephew Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard was born on July 1, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Eugene and Myrtle Huston Gremp. He married Laura J. Holmes on September 27, 1975 in North Bangor, New York.
Richard worked at National Oats for over 15 years and proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed gardening and travel with Laura. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
