Lois A. Rayman, 80, of Cedar Rapids died Monday October 13, 2014 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha of cancer. Services at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday.

Survivors include an aunt Dorothy Ann Spencer Tucker, several cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Howard A. Rayman.

Lois was born on July 6, 1934 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Charles J. and Lillian Tucker Rayman. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1952. She went to the University of Iowa for 2 years and then became a stewardess for United Airlines. 

While having lunch in Los Angeles a movie agent saw her and asked her if he could represent her (he was also an agent for Bob Hope). Lois then became a model and an actress. She made many commercials and was on several television shows including Queen For A Day and the Ozzie and Harriett Show. Lois was also in the movie Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson and Doris Day. 

Lois lived in both California and New York and was married 3 times. In later years she moved back to Cedar Rapids and worked part time for Frank Magid Associates.Lois was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
