John A. Huelsenbeck, age 68, left this world Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories officiated by Cedar Memorial Certified Staff Celebrant Julie Freese. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-7:30 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations in John’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
John was born in Cedar Rapids on January 10, 1946 to Lindsey Edgar and Frances Anna (Kasparek) Huelsenbeck. John served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He retired from Alliant Energy after 32 years in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Joyce; daughters Paula Yoeckel and Victoria (Terry) Wheeler; son Chance Maclin; granddaughters Alexis, Helena, Amber, and Alexandrea; sisters Mary Meyers, Julie (David) Thomas, and Patricia Dominguez; brothers Gilbert Huelsenbeck, James Walker, and Mike Huelsenbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.
