Ruby Fern Phelps, of Springfield, MO, was born February 3, 1925, to Robert and Sarah Blankenship in Smithville, MO, and passed away on January 5th, 2014. Ruby was united in marriage to Dorn Nathan Phelps. She is lovingly survived by one son, Roger (Kathie) Phelps of Cedar Rapids, IA; two daughters, Sandy (Bob) Richardson of Portland OR, and Pam (Doug) Thompson of Highlandville MO; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four sisters. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dorn; one grandchild; two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 2:00 PM with funeral services at 3:00 PM at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Springfield, Missouri. Private Burial was at Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, on January 14, 2014.
