Lillie Mae James, 79, of Center Point, died Thursday February 20, 2014 in Northbrook Nursing Home. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, William P. James, her children; Craig (Sheri)) James of Center Point, Iowa, Brenda (Kevin) Klein of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rick (Crystal) James of Walker, Iowa and Nancy (Daniel) Jones of Walker, A sister, Waunita (Jack) Snow of Illinois, 5 half sisters, 6 half brothers, grandchildren; Brooke, Tyler, Jason, Candice, Jennifer, Stacy, Todd, Dustin, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Zachary and a half sister.
Lillie was born November 21, 1934 in Central City, Iowa, the daughter of Juanita and George FitzSimmons. She married William P. James on January 14, 1955 in Marion, Iowa. Lillie was a member of United Methodist Church in Center Point where she was active in United Methodist Women, and board member. She was a book club member, avid Hawkeye Fan and had a great sense of humor. Lillie loved people. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
