Even though Shawn is my cousin I did not really know him b ut I did often hear about his love for baseball and all the players. My Dad was an avid Baseball Fan and I grew up with the knowledge of baseball but not to the extent of Shawn. Must have been lots of fun for your dad to share time with Shawn discussing sports. What a special bond. My prayers are with all of you.....our family is getting smaller all the time!

I worked with Shawn when he was at the Marion Learning Center earning his high school diploma. In my 42 years teaching, Shawn was the most interesting student I've ever had the privilege to teach. I enjoy my time with Shawn. He had coming to school fun everyday. Working thru issues with Shawn made a major impact on my live. Before I met Shawn, I had only worked with students in the general ed. population. Working with Shawn caused me to change my focus in teaching and lead me to start working with students with special needs. Shawn made a major impact on my life & career. I'm sorry for your loss - Shawn was a special person and I'm sorry that our paths will never cross again.
