Amy L. Clay, 47, of Marion passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with a 1 hour visitation, beginning at 10:00 AM, before the service on Friday at the chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Amy is survived by her husband Greg Clay, daughter Alexis Clay both of Marion; parents Roger and Katie Steffen of Luxemburg; her siblings, Sherri (Jeff) Steffen of Luxemburg; Pat (Patty) Steffen of Luxemburg; Mike Steffen (Joan Sigwarth) of Holy Cross; Sandy (Daryl) Klein of Rickardsville; and Susie (Tom) Schmitt of Holy Cross; brother-in-laws, Mark Clay of Cedar Falls; Bret (Donna) Clay of Lacona; beloved nieces and nephews, Angie, Amanda, Christie, Kyle, Amber, Ashley, Jerry Jr., Stacey, Nick, Katlin, Scott, Tracy, Joe, Ashley; 8 great nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends, her special companions, dogs, Bella and Rose. Amy L. Clay was born March 11, 1966 in Dubuque, Iowa the beloved daughter of Roger and Katie Steffen. Amy was married to her life long companion of 25 years on July 4, 2003 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Following high school graduation she attended UNI and received her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising. Amy worked as a manager at Victoria’s Secret. Amy’s greatest joy was her daughter, Alexis and husband Greg. She was an artist, enjoyed crafts and sewing. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who would do anything for her daughter Alexis, nieces and nephews, and her many family and friends.Words cannot express the lasting memory she will leave upon her family and friends. Her presence, advice, leadership and love will never be forgotten by them, her extended family, or anyone she became friends with.Amy is now reunited with her mother-in-law and father in-law Dave and Dorothy Clay and several cherished family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
