Nesbeth “Nebby” I. Reynolds, 66, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Saturday, May 4 at Mercy Medical Center from a short illness. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday at 1 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Richard Johnson and Richard Reed will be officiating. Burial will be held on Friday following the ceremony at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.Nesbeth Inez Reynolds was born on March 6, 1947 to Ray and Bernice Akers Hendred in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was united in marriage to David Reynolds. Nesbeth worked as a medical receptionist at PCI for 14 years. She enjoyed collecting elephants, loved plants and most of all being surrounded by her many family members. Nebby was a very kind and caring person and because of her compassion for others she elected to be an organ donor.She is survived by her loving husband, David; children, Damon (Jill) Shepherd of Frisco, TX; Anthony (Tammy) Shepherd and Kim Shepherd both of Cedar Rapids; Brandon (Marcie) Reynolds of Hiawatha; Bryan, Dacyn, and Davina Reynolds all of Dayton, OH; siblings, Rae (Marcus) Johnson of Cedar Rapids; Mark Doolin of Denver, CO; Paul and Stephanie Tillman both of Cedar Rapids; Renee (Tony) McCraney of Virginia Beach; Rhonda (Robert) Wright and Ronald Hendred both of Cedar Rapids; William Adams of Ottumwa; and James Adams of NC; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Nesbeth was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Christine.Memorial donations may be directed to the Iowa Donor Network.
