Geraldine “Gerri” Schmidt

I'm so sorry to hear about Gerri. We went to Washington Elementary, CB Vernon, and Marion High School together, and we were neighbors. She was a wonderful person. My deepest sympathies to her family.

I was stunned when I heard of Geri's passing. I worked with her at Iowa Title for 6 years and we became friends. Her laugh and mine could be heard throughout the building which got us in trouble a few times but we didn't care. We always had inside jokes that we would laugh about all day long. She will be truly missed. Tim, you and your family are in my prayers.

We were deeply saddened to read of Gerri's passing. I was as usual late at reading the paper and Joe did not recognize her married name so i just discovered these circumstances last evening. We were neighbors on Keyes Ct. for 26 yrs and Gerri babysat our children many times. We were long time customer's of "Tegler's Dairy" when Faith and family had that business. Unfortunately, we did not have the pleasure of meeting Gerri's husband, but would like to extend our heart felt sympathy for the pain and loss that has occurred to the entire family. Especially to Faith, there is no greater loss than that of a child for a parent, and my heart aches for you. We remember Gerri as a fun loving, compassionate young lady with a wonderful personality and smile that could light up a room. Our children were always safe and happy under her care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you treasure all the wonderful memories the years have given you...Gerri lives on in all our hearts. May God Bless You until you are all together again. I am deeply saddened to hear of Gerri's passing. Gerri's light-hearted nature and carefree spirit was a delight. Pineapple upside down cake will always make me think of her. I worked with Gerri at Iowa Title for several years and her sunny character had a way of putting a smile on my face. She will be missed by many for sure.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Gerri was fun to work with at Iowa Title. Like the time she dressed up as Wonder Woman for Halloween, that was awesome! Or just singing Red Solo Cup around the office. But my favorite was when she was singing 'bow-chica-bow-wow' around the office. She said she heard it on the radio and didn't know what it meant, I whispered it to her and we both laughed hysterically...all day! I will miss her giggle and laughter, even her dirty looks when she was stressed. I hope these good memories comfort you during this difficult time.
