Minerva Augusta Oleson Todd, 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died October 7, 2012 at Garnett Place. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Echo Hill Presbyterian Church 9000 C Ave. Marion, Iowa with a luncheon to follow. Rev. Jim Langley will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Victor Township Cemetery, north of Leland Illinois, by the Rev. Roger Boekenhauer of Waterman Presbyterian Church. A luncheon will follow at Shabbona Masonic Lodge. Minerva Augusta Todd was born March 11, 1924 to Peter and Elsie Meyers Oleson in Little Rock Township, Kendall County, Illinois. Minerva graduated from Sugar Grove High School at Sugar Grove Illinois. She married Cedric W. Todd from Shabbona, Illinois on December 19, 1944. Cedric and Minerva lived in Waterman, Illinois for 30 years then moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1987. They were avid Square Dancers in Illinois and Iowa.Minerva was preceded in death by her parents, husband (2001), brother Harold, brother-in-law Dan Todd, sisters-in-law Mirinda Olson, Phyllis Oleson and Lora Todd.She is survived by her sons Len Eugene (Jan) and Chad Wynn (Denise) of Marion, Iowa, Terry Ray(Carol) of Placerville, CA, 9 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren.Minerva enjoyed activities with the Kitchen Dialogue and VIP groups at Echo Hill. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Minerva’s honor may be directed to Echo Hill Presbyterian Church.
