Gale S. McRoberts, 49, of Chandler Street SW, died at Mercy Medical Center, Friday, December 15, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel formerly Turner West by the Rev. Sherry Lohman of Hope United Methodist Church, Iowa City. The inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the chapel after 9 a.m. Monday.
Survivors include her sister, Marcia McRoberts of Davenport and her children Sarah and Evan Benker; and a brother, Todd Linda McRoberts of Raleigh, NC and his daughter, Sheila.
Gale was preceded in death by her parents who died together in 1978; and a
sister, Sheila in 1994.
Gale was born on February 2, 1957 in Spencer, Iowa to Robert and Florence Spilde McRoberts. She received a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa. She was a National Sales Rep for CRST for many years before she started her own consulting company, McRoberts Consulting LLC. Gale was an accomplished pianist and loved to knit and garden.
The family would like to thank all the unsung heros the caregivers who took care of Gale and supported her throughout her illness.
