Irene was very special to a lot of people, but especially so to our family, since meeting her back some 20+ years ago she has become an important part of our family, a close friend to Mary and me, Grandma Irene to all of Mary’s granddaughters! She will be missed, but always loved by all of us. My heart felt sympathy goes out to Linda, Paul and their family. Rest In Peace Irene!!

My Emmy doesn't have grandparents who are participating in her life, so, the only "grandma" that she has known is Irene. Emmy loved her grandma and as did I! I remember, even towards the end of her journey, when she was in pain and wasn't very mobile or strong...she would always reach down and pull Emmy into her lap for goodbye kisses and hugs when I would pick her up. I am SO grateful that this beautiful woman was, and still is, such an important part of my daughter's life. Thank you grandma...say hi to Jesus for me!
