I am so sorry to hear of Elbert's passing. He was the icon of the neighborhood I grew up in and where we still call home - Thinking of Phyllis and the rest of the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Elbert's passing, and on behalf of the USS Damato's crew and family we offer our sincere sympathy to Phyllis and their family. We have missed El and Phyllis very much at our annual reunions for the last few years. Like so many of us, due to decreased health, it had became too difficult to make the long trips, but they were fondly remembered each year. We have many wonderful memories of the McMickles' and many others who have gone before us. We honor our deceased members at each reunion at the annual memorial service. May they all rest in peace.

We are so sorry to hear of El's passing, he has been a wonderful neighbor to us for the past 35 yrs. We shall miss him dearly. Our blessings to Phyllis and the family.

Dave & Cindy and family - I'm sorry to read in the Gazette of your father's passing. May your fond memories of your dad comfort you during this time of great loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. -Andy Weaver, Washington High School, Class of 1973.
