I met John through our local Masonic Lodge. He was one of the most caring souls I've ever had the honor to know. God speed Brother.

"Mr. Markham" was my 5th or 6th grade teacher at Grant Wood in about 1957. It was whatever year Lisa was born because I remember thinking that I must be an OK kid because he never would have named his daughter after a brat! My father died that year. My first day back at school a boy said, "Ha Ha-Your daddy died!" Well, I hauled off and slugged him! Mr. Markham saw the whole thing & gave that boy holy heck while he rubbed my back. I will never forget that! He was such a nice man and a good teacher. I'm so sorry for your loss.
