Our deepest sympathy to you, Cec, and to your family. Terry was a good man and a joy to know. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. You and your family are in our prayers.

Cec and family, Sorry to hear about Terry. At a time like this it's hard to find the right words of comfort. I only hope knowing that others care is of comfort to you all in this time of sorrow. Terry was a good friend that I enjoyed exchanging e-mails with and being around. What a shock, I had just gotten an e-mail from him a day or two before. He had a great sense of humor and that's why I enjoyed his e-mails. May God bless you all. Tom Murphy

My daughter Anna and I both had the pleasure of golfing with Terry in the Rockwell Outcast golf league. We both feel he was without a doubt the nicest person we have met. We were very lucky to get to know him. I also worked with Terry at Rockwell for over 30 years, and he was the kind of person who made you feel better the minute you saw him. He had a positive spirit about him and he genuinely cared about everyone that he encountered. We will truly miss seeing him on the golf course every week. It truly is a loss for all of us in the league. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Terry's family.

Cec, my sympathy goes out to you and your family, Terry was a great guy. I worked with / for Terry in CPC 20 years ago. You just don't forget a guy like him, he always had a smile and a kind of warmth he spread to those around him that brightened your day. It saddens my heart to know the loss you must be feeling ... one thing is for sure, you have a mighty angel watching over you from above now.

Our sympathy to the family of Terry Burger. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We worked with him through the combined effort of St. Vincent dePaul and Catholic Financial Life.

Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear of Terry passing. Like Vicki, I too remember the years at St. Pius and Regis. I especially remember the times spent at the concessions during St. Pius basketball games for the booster club as well as the time we all went to an Iowa Cubs game together. I always appreciated his sense of humor and I will always fondly remember him as being an extended part of our family. Many thoughts and prayers to Cec, Chris, and Laura.

I (Vicki) have many fond memories of Terry while growing up in Cedar Rapids, especially during my elementary years at St Pius and high school years at Regis. Terry was one of my dad’s best friends, and I know he and ‘Big Geno’ have finally reunited at the Hawkeye Huddle in Heaven. With deepest sympathy to Cec and the entire Burger family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Cecilia and all of Terry's family, The Regis class of '64 has lost one of its truly greats and our grief is certainly deep. Yet it doesn't come close to yours. I'll miss that wonderful smile each time I came back to CR and Terry was ushering at Mass or we'd have a class reunion. Just knowing he's not with us on this earth makes my heart heavy. Even growing up, living across the street from my in-laws on Texas Avenue, his smile brought sunshine to the neighborhood. God bless all of you as Terry truly blessed us with his presence. Much love to all of you.

Dear family of Terry, Back in 1979 I worked for a summer at Rockwell in the Marketing Department. I was entertaining the idea of switching into Marketing from my almost completed degree in Art Education. Terry, in a no-nonsense manner, told me to NOT make that change, as Marketing wasn't really for me. I was taken aback, but 36 years later, am so thankful that I became the art teacher I was born to be! Thanks Terry! Nancy Kula Art Teacher (1980-Present) Anamosa High School

My sincere condolences to Terry's family. We worked together for several years and the obituary was exactly right, Terry got things done. What a great guy, we worked hard but had a lot of good times together. I feel very fortunate that my life was touched by Terry. God bless Terry. Ken & Mary Mote

Our deepest sympathy to you Cec, and all the family. We go back a long way, and have so many good memories of the times we spent , at New Years Eve dinners and all those other occassions. Terry will be missed by many who had the pleasure of knowing him.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family. He is gone, but will never be forgotten. You and your family are in my prayers.

We were fortunate to spend 3 vacations with Terry and Cec. We discovered that Terry was a very special person, immediately likable, affable, caring, funny and sincere. What memories! Cec and family, we are praying that God will balm your wounded hearts and increase your faith in Him, who has triumphed over death.

What a beautiful tribute to Terry. We are still in shock and our hearts are heavy. We are sending prayers and strength your way, Cecelia and family. Such a unexpected loss. He had so much more life he wanted to live. May God watch over you all and time be kind to your hearts. God Speed Terry. A great man. A great friend. Go Hawks!

One encounters many types of characters in their life pursuit, and some stand out far beyond the others. I know that such a man was Terry Burger. He was a fair man, a caring man, a man that was as good as his word. He often went over and beyond what was expected to try and keep the circuit board shop functioning. Caring about the lives of those that depended on CPC for their existence. He had a ready smile and a strong arm to lend support. I respected him, and I trusted to him. God has gathered another wonderful angel. To CeCe, thanks for sharing of this man and of yourself. Truly you are both wonderful people!

Cec and family, may you know that the caring and silent prayers that come from within our hearts give you strength and peace. We were blessed to have Terry share his many talents, wit, humor and genuine caring. His memory will live on forever. May the Love of God surround you in this time of sorrow. Donna & Harry
