Dear Dana, We have never known a kinder more lovely man than Al. He always seemed to have a smile and a chuckle. That handsome, adorable face! He will always be an inspiration to us, as will you. Such people of great faith - God's good and faithful servants. "A prince of a guy," is what my dad called men like Al. God bless you, Dana, your girls, and all your loving family.

Dear Dana and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Al was such a wonderful man who led by example. We loved his gentle laugh and the sparkle in his eyes. He was such a genuine, warm and loving person. We will miss him. We pray that God hold you close in his arms at this very sad time. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Jerry and Lisa Kindred

Dear Dana and family. I am so sorry to learn that Al has passed away, but so glad he loved the Lord and is with his Lord and Savior now. I know we have been praying for quite some time for Al at St. Mark's. I knew you both, first, at Our Savior's and didn't get to see you very much at St. Mark's because we went to different services. I worked with Cami at AEGON years ago. I am in Arkansas and will be unable to go to Al's funeral, but please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. The greater the love the greater the grief. May God hold you in the palm of his hand at this very difficult time. Sincerely, Jeanette Wey

Dana and family: Our sincere condolences on the loss of this gentle man. He was such a caring, compassionate soul. He always made you feel like talking to you was the highlight of his day. Your family and the community have suffered a huge loss in his passing. We will always remember him with a smile on our faces and in our hearts. Please know that we carry your family in our thoughts and prayers. Jim and Sandy Kimball

Our deepest sympathy to you Dana & your family. Growing up Al was like a brother and not a cousin. There are so many fond memories of our times together. Life took us in separate directions but my love for him didn't diminish. Heaven has received a great person with God's open arms and our prayers will continue to be with you and your family as you grieve his loss. Love, Gary & Arlene.

We will miss this gentle man who loved his family and was so passionate about his Iowa Hawkeyes. Heaven has gained a caring and loving soul and may he enjoy those rewards. Love and condolences to Dana and family.

Dear Dana and Girls, Al was one of the kindest, caring and genuine guys I’ve ever known. He never said an unkind word, he was passionate about so many things especially his FAMILY! (And those Hawkeyes) We’ll miss him more than any of us know. Al was an inspiration to me by his Faith and Love for our Savior. It was an amazing thing to witness! Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of your family. We love you, Ron, Lora, Chrismathe and Fabienne
