Crystal, I just came across this and was saddened that I missed it. He was a great man and so friendly. I have and will miss him and will never forget your father. He gave me a picture of him when he went on the Honor Fight and I will cherish it and his memory forever. May his memory be eternal!

To Cris Nodurft & family: I'll never forget Bill Jean Nodurft & what they meant to our family. My dad lost his brother to combat in W.W.2, so I didn't have an uncle. Bill was one of the best"uncles" Connie, Mark, & I could ever have had, even though he wasn't related by blood. The trip to the St. Louis Cardinals in '69, Bill & Jean taking me for a dinner at a Edgewood restaurant, card parties W/ my parents - Lyle & Gerry -, coming over to 78 Devonwood Av. for card parties, Bill taking me to a spring baseball banquet at C.R. Washington High School, Bill & Jean coming down to our "cabin on the Wapsi", horseshoes, U.C.L.A. - IOWA football game at Bill & Jean's house in 1974,Bill coming to my J.V. basketball game at Prairie. Those were just a few memories I recall of Bill, Cris. Bill,Jean, & Crystal's generosity & Hospitality won't be forgotten. I think Bill - being a W.W.2 Veteran - he wanted to come back home & make his family, neighborhood & community a better place. He most certainly did that. Our family was blessed to have him as a true friend. I'll never forget his smile! May God give you comfort in the days to come, Cris, on the death of your father. Our prayers are with you. Sincerely, Keith Young
