Dear Runde Family, We are very sad to hear of your loss. We shared many laughs and stories with both Connie and Merle while tailgating at the Iowa games. She was a joy to be around and always had a smile on her face. Please know that she was gift from God. Sorry this is so late but when we did not receive our annual Christmas Card we started a search. Bill, Jeri, Andrea & Mary

So glad we got to meet and know Connie through our daughter's marriage to Joe Runde. Connie was always so pleasant and thankful for family, friends and gatherings of all! She will be missed by many. May God hold her in the palm of his hand. Bill and Shawn

Kate, We would like to express our sincere condolences to you and your family. Tutoring Services

Dr. Runde and family, So sorry for your loss.. May each loving memory bring you strength and peace at this so very difficult time. Kathy Neustel

Connie was a close, life long friend of my mother, so I had the privilege of seeing her warm and caring smile at many, many 'family' events in CR through the years. I always considered her part of our extended family, and she will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences go to Connie's children and their families.

Dear Steve- So sorry for your loss. Iwill keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolences to Steve and the rest of the Runde family. Our prayers are with you.

Sending love to all family. Steve, Renee, Jeff and Melissa and their families. Here in Dubuque we are all thinking of your loss. Connie always would call me Mary Carol and then give a big smile to me over her sun glasses which we her trade mark. Think she liked the sound of it. There are so many memories of our summers together at the park when we were little and would meet between your house and ours. And the Eagle Point picnics we tried to keep in touch with as our families grew and our lives got busy. I remember the excitement of taking turns sleeping over at Delie's house when one of you would come visit, and Renee and I telling ghost stories till we were too scared to move and just waited for day light ! And the boys throwing rocks at the bell in the old school to make the bats fly. Then we'd hit the swing and be out till it was so dark. It was such fun memories. I think of them often and wonder how you all are. Though we cannot be there with my working shedule I send you all love, hugs and prayers to know as we all move on to be with our families in heaven that the memories always live on in our hearts. Love you all.

Runde family so sorry to hear about Connie passing . Always great memories Melissa, of coming over to your house and spending time with your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you .

To the Runde Family - our deepest sympathy. Growing up the Enright's and Runde's were so much a part of each other's family that Connie was like a second Mom to me (Scot). The best of times were spent playing football or basketball in the driveways and eating dinners at one another's house. Mom has a new card partner (again) and Jay and Merle can talk sports. Heaven is a lot more fun now, with Connie and life will be a lot less brighter, without her in it.

Steve, Renee, Jeff, Melissa, Ruth and all other family members~ So sorry to hear about Connie's passing. We have so many great memories of Connie, Merle, Ruth, Steve and all those kids running around, coming up in the summer to Eagle Point Park in Dubuque. Connie with her sunglasses on ;) that she never took off! She was a great lady, we always enjoyed chatting and catching up with her. She will be missed dearly. We both wish we could of made it down to the services to share our memories about Connie with you and celebrate her life but could not. We will send our prayers and~ God speed Connie~. May you all find peace in knowing she is resting with her love, Merle and lovingly guiding you from above Thinking of you all, Rick and Mary Donovan, Dubuque

Renee, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. i hope that sweet memories help to temper your grief.

Steve, Renee, Jeffrey and Melissa and extended family: My heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your Mom. Connnie and I were friends for 67 years. This week is very difficult and my thoughts and prayers are for comfort and strength for each one of you. Pleasant old memories are sleep overs at my house making melted peanut butter sandwiches; later, she loved to share stories of her dear grandchildren and their accomplishments. I would be there this week but just returned home 3 weeks ago from C.R. May you be comforted by cherished memories and love that is everlasting. Corrine Dwyer Ehlers

Renee--My thoughts and prayers are with you. It's never easy losing a parent.
