tiny and me along with jack were great friends. tiny used to carry my books and walk me home after school. what a wonderful human being he was. we had not been in touch for a long time, but jack and i are sure he is in good hands now and with his beloved wife. GOD BLESS HARRY.

We attended Gospel Light Baptist Church for a few years, with Harry and Nadean. He was the gentle giant. We really were blessed to know this couple. Now they are with so many friends who have gone ahead of us, but the best is yet to come. Bill & Marilyn Holderman

I was Harry's homemaker for about 5 years and also helped his wife a few times before she went to the nursing home. What a privilege to have gotten to know Harry! I know he is now with his wife, Nadine and his Lord and Savior dancing on the streets of gold. I will miss most his laugh and cheerful disposition. To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss. He was a great man!

Harry and I played football together. Obviously we also went to school together for a long time. Harry was a good guy. The world needs more people like him. I hadn't seen him in years but I am sad he's not around. He was the "salt of the earth"

At our last class reunion, Harry was one person I had wanted to see and speak with but was disappointed he was not there. When I returned home, I wrote a short note to him, wishing him well, and told him I was hoping he would have attended the reunion. I was told by a classmate, that Harry did attend the committee post meeting after the reunion, and he made the statement, " I didn't know anyone would remember me." And I say, how could we not. A dear person, who was always kind to others and saw the humor in this life.

We are so glad Harry's suffering is over and he is now with God and Nadean. As church friends for many years, we always enjoyed Harry's stories of mischief from his younger years before Nadean straightened him out! More recently, Harry taught us all a life lesson as we watched his undying loyalty and love for Nadean to the very end. Pecan pie will always have special meaning to us thanks to Harry. We miss you on the back row, Harry. Dan and Deb Smith

Tiny was one of the best friends a person could ask for. I've known him since first grade at Irving school in Marion. We stayed friends it seems forever. He made this a better world while he was here. He drove my wife and I to the church when we got married. He stood up and was a witness for the ceremony. We spent a lot of times going to ArMar to attend the dances. He was a fixture at CeMar during the summers. One of his favorite places was Tom K. house. We used to gather at Toms parents house for informal parties, it was a great place for all of us to hang out. There is not room to list all the good times with Tiny when we were in our teens. He had a love of life and was a friend of everyone he met. The Lord has now gained one of the nicest persons who walked the earth. Its hard to believe he is gone. God bless his soul. Harry was my favorite Uncle. We visited him many times in Iowa. We had the pleasure of meeting his wife Nadean. Uncle Harry and my Dad are brothers. They loved to eat. We would always visit the Amana Colonies when coming to Iowa. Harry war a GREAT man and Uncle. He will be dearly missed. Love Always, Nancy and the Boys and their families

Charlie & Verna: Harry was lucky to have such great friends. He was the happiest person I have ever known and what a great sense of humor! RIP Harry!
